Kevin Elliott died of natural causes March 2, 2003, at his home in Littleton.
Kevin was born Oct. 15, 1959, in Boulder. He graduated from Boulder High in 1977 and the University of Northern Colorado. In 1986 he earned an MBA from the University of Colorado, graduating with highest honors. He was vice president of the Western Division of GE Medical Systems and had been with the company for 15 years.
Kevin is survived by his daughters, Leslie Elliott of Austin, Texas, and Lindsey Elliott and Kristin Elliott, both of Littleton; his brother Stewart Elliott of Norfolk, Va.; his sister Kathryn Elliott of Boulder; and his parents Sally Elliott and Stanley Mullen of Boulder.

He was active in the chamber and chancel choirs at First Presbyterian Church as a ruling elder. He was a pianist for the Rotary Club and served on the board of directors. He also served for two years as the president of the Interfaith Council of Boulder.

The following information was provided by her close friend and our classmate, Nancy Goodard Botzum:
"Stace, that's what I called her, didn't quite make it to her 50th on May 4. She was given a surprising terminal diagnosis not too long before she died.
"Stace is survived by her husband Charles and daughter Emily. Her only other child, Charles Corwin II, died in December 2007. She grew up in Jimtown beginning in 4th grade, moving to Boulder some years later after her kids were born and remained living in the city until her death.
"There were many wonderful and exciting things Stace experienced
and accomplished in her lifetime. She was a genuine, good, caring person, a wonderful friend through thick and thin, and you know,
I don't think I ever heard her say any unkind words, ever, seriously.
"I loved her very much, I feel blessed I knew her and called her a closest friend."
Vanessa Izzolena
Vanessa Donne Izzolena died of pneumonia April 19, 2001, at Boulder Manor. She was 42. She had been in a coma since a car accident on April 1, 1989.
The daughter of Anthony Izzolena and Marilyn Harkins Izzolena, she was born Jan. 1, 1959, in Des Moines, Iowa. She married Art Samora in Boulder in June 1978; they divorced in 1981.
She moved to Boulder in 1962 and graduated from Boulder High in 1977. She studied to be a nurse's aid and a doctor's assistant. She was a member of SIlver Spurs Horse 4-H from 1969 to 1975 and enjoyed swimming, boating, water skiing, music, dancing, shuffleboard, poetry and board and table games.
Survivors include her parents, both of Boulder; a daughter, Janelle Samora of Boulder; sisters Julie Travis and Lisa Izzolena-Rodriguez, both of Lawton, Okla.; and her grandmother, Elberta Harkwins of Lawton. [Printed in the Daily Camera; thank you to Leah Kennedy for providing the obituary.]

Mark W. Milburn
Mark W. Milburn of Denver, formerly of Boulder County, died of complications from AIDS Oct. 25, 1999. He was 41.
He was born March 8, 1958, in Austin, Texas, to William W. Milburn and BIllie Fowler Milburn. Mark was a quality control supervisor for Ivion Corp., a rehab technician at the former Boulder Memorial Hospital and a thin film processor at StorageTek Corp. He lived in Boulder County from 1963 to 1993.
Mark enjoyed working with computers, flower gardening and helping people. He survived HIV for 16 years.
Survivors include his parents of Boulder; brothers, Kevin Milburn of Carson City, Nev., and Ski Milburn of Boulder; sister Aimee Milburn of Boulder; and his maternal grandmother, Troy Fowler of Temple, Texas. Rickey Lynn Spier
The son of Willard H. and Grace I. Giggey Spier, Rick was born Aug. 6, 1958, in Boulder. He married Patricia Swann in Yuma Jan. 14, 1983.

Ricky attended Casey Junior High and was a standout on the Boulder High baseball team. He attended Northeastern Junior College in Sterling and graduated from Adams State College in Alamosa. He received a master's degree in education from Adams State in 1991. He taught school in Dove Creek before embarking on a 12-year teaching career in various international schools. Teaching assignments took the couple to Peru, Sumatra, Indonesia, the Sudan and Brazil.
